Charles, I have been unbelievably busy since I retired on October 31st, so I have just now finished reading your book. I am not particularly interested in reading about aircraft and war matters, so it took me awhile to get into the story. But, once I did I really enjoyed it. It was a real page turner as you kept me wondering what was going to happen on the island with all those ---! Hope you'll continue to pursue a writing career as I'm sure you must have other stories to tell. Joy Hamilton, DCJ

I found the book to be full of suspense and to find out what the secret cargo is was thrilling. I did not want to put the book down. I think that this book could easily be adapted to be made into a movie. It has all the elements - plot, suspense, thrill, adventure and ending leaves you waiting for the next book.

Who knew?, October 9, 2007 By Linda Bowden
Who knew that Charles Hicks, our computer whiz at work, was even writing a book, let alone a very exciting thriller! His first book (I hope there will be more) proved to be double pleasure and surprise. First, getting to know more about Charles Hicks the author, then reading the story that proves this book has nothing to do with computers. It's a story about interesting, good people, an exciting flight plan, romance, that secret cargo and -- I can't give it all away. More, Charles! L B

My ovrerall review of this book is the scale of 1-5; I give 5, because the use of good descrpiton, timing and creativity. The only con to this book was 1ST chapter; just a little to much detail about the miltary. After the 1st Chapter,I couldn't put the book down. I can not wait to see what other books the author have to come
