Ethanol burn cleaner than regular gasoline but on the other hand, it burns faster.
I’m a mechanic and I have tested 100 different cars and trucks that have come into my shop for the number of miles a car travel on a gallon of ethanol compared to regular gasoline. The mileages decreased greatly, causing more trips to the gas pump, especially during the summer months when we drive more. I always wondered why our government added the 10% ethanol during the summer months:
Is it for cleaner air or for more tax dollars? You, the consumer may be able to answer this question, but it’s something to think about when it comes to bailout money. I call it squeezing the balloon—drop the cost of gas a few pennies then increase the consumption a few gallons. Now, gas burns faster during the summer months, because of the heat factor, but I did this test during the winter months as well in my shop, in the fall and under ideal situations, using a speedometer calibration and diagnostic tool. There are other test sites on the internet for you to check—on Google search. One such site is:

JONES and RAY ---12noon Mr. Wilez drove to his wife, Jones's office to take her to lunch. After picking her up, they headed to a local diner and on the way Ray ran a stop light.

Jones: Didn't you see that that light was on red.
Ray: No!
Jones: Are you blind or something. You’re gonna get us killed.
Ray: Don't you start with your nagging. So, I missed a light. It could happen to anyone.
Jones: Yeah, right! And, you had to be the one.
Ray: You know what I wish.
Jones: What?
Ray: I wish, I would have stopped and picked up some Sheer-makeup.
Jones: Why's that?
Ray: They always talks about how good it is.
Jones: And!
Ray: So, you can put it on, and I could brush you away.
