Windows XP annoyance Scan Message keep popping-up
Do you get an annoyance message in Windows XP to run scan and once you run the scan the program prompt you to register the software to get rid of the detected viruses. If you say no the thing keep popping up.
This is not coded as a virus but as an adware and it’ll disable your anti-virus software.
Remember a certified internet scan doesn’t continue to annoy you to purchase it once you say no. The steps in this message will not solve all your computer issues but will help regain some of your speed back. The software link on this page is at your own risk, so read the information and instruction on the link-page.
Here are the steps that helped me with my adware issues:
1.) Update your Anti-virus software and run it, if you can.
2.) If you can't run the anti-virus. Download Malwarebytes from the link below:
Download it to your desktop and run the setup (install) file. Accept the default save location. Once you have installed the program. Do not run it in Windows real mode.
8.) Reboot your computer, “Do Not Enter Safe Mode” Boot in normal mode.
9.) Once you’re at the desktop run Malware once more, then run your anti-virus software to completely clean your system.
10.) If no threats remain, your system is cleaned and should be running normal.
11.) Click START select SHUTDOWN click OK to Shutdown.
12.) Connect the network cable (Ethernet) or enable the wireless card if you’re on a wireless network.
Start your computer up in normal mode. Remember to keep your anti-virus software updated.
That’s it. I hope this was helpful. There’s no guarantee the above information will solve all your virus issues.
